Aryel Moon is an alternative rock project infused with grungy and punk influences, led by the talented Donatella Camedda. Originally from Italy and now based in Dublin, Donatella and her band are carving out a space in Ireland’s dynamic indie and alternative music landscape.
Music has been a constant in Donatella’s life since her teenage years. As the frontwoman of various rock bands in Italy, she developed a strong artistic identity that continues to evolve. Her sound merges the raw intensity of ‘90s rock with a contemporary twist, crafting melancholic yet uplifting melodies. With a seamless blend of acoustic and electric elements, steady rhythms, and a velvety voice, Aryel Moon’s music resonates deeply with listeners, reinterpreting storytelling with lightness and freshness. Their sound explores the intimate movements of emotions, creating a space for reflection and self-discovery. Energetic yet never aggressive, it conveys both strength and peace.
Drawing inspiration from powerful female artists like PJ Harvey, St. Vincent, and Kim Gordon, as well as iconic women-led bands such as Hole, L7, The Cranberries, Dream Wife, Sprints, and Gush, Aryel Moon’s sound is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.
The project has already made waves with performances on Shannonside FM, at the Balbriggan Pride Festival 2024, and across various open mic stages in Dublin. More recently, Aryel Moon has performed at the Sin É Altcoustic Showcase in Dublin and is set to play at the Avocado Rocks Showcase at Toale’s in Dundalk. With full-band shows in Dublin and other Irish cities on the horizon, Aryel Moon is gearing up for an exciting future.
