Giacomo Angelini, better known by his stage name SOLO, was born and raised in Pesaro, a coastal city in Italy’s Marche region. Currently studying Languages at the University of Urbino, SOLO has always had a creative spirit and a strong desire to forge his own path.
In contrast to many musicians, SOLO’s interest in music developed independently; it wasn’t a part of his family environment. His journey into music began during the COVID pandemic, when he found himself with extra time and a desire to explore something new. Feeling inspired, SOLO downloaded a music program and recorded his first cover: Fabri Fibra’s Stavopensando a te. But instead of merely recreating the original, he made it his own by adding fresh rhymes and different sounds. This experience sparked a newfound passion for writing and producing music, which quickly took center stage in his life.
Since that moment, SOLO has released multiple singles, including Protagonista, Frangiflutti, and La Mia Barca. He embraces a hands-on approach to music production, handling everything from songwriting to producing. For SOLO, the creative process doesn’t end with the music; he also enjoys overseeing visual elements like album graphics, music videos, and promotional materials. Most recently, SOLO completed his debut album, PERPETUA, and he’s eager to continue exploring new projects.
SOLO’s artistic journey is guided by Valentina Ariemma, a vocal coach with extensive training in both classical and modern music. Ariemma began studying classical piano at age four and later shifted her focus to voice, attending the Accademia di Musica Moderna and the Conservatorio of Fermo. Since 2018, she has collaborated with the Rossini Orchestra in Pesaro and led diverse vocal projects, including “PopCorTraLeNote,” a pop choir in Fano. As a teacher, she provides instruction in pop and rock technique at schools like Musicantiere in Riccione and Sonàrt in Pesaro, and mentors young talents like SOLO, sharing her expertise to guide their growth.
